Open Door Of Hope Ministry has dedicated itself to bringing hope to the hopeless, hope of eternal life in Jesus Christ while bringing physical hope to their life here on earth. James 2:14-17; What does it profit, my brethren, though a man has faith, and has not works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.
Our Beliefs
The Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are without error, reliable, and thus are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete revelation of God to man. We teach and preach from the King James Version of the Bible, believing it to be the best translation for English speaking people.
God
We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.
Jesus
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross and that our justification is made sure by His resurrection. We believe that the He ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. We believe that He is the divine Teacher who assists believers to understand the Scriptures, and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose precious blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that all true believers are kept by God’s power, through faith, and are thus secure in Christ.
The Church
We believe that the local church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of believers in Jesus Christ. We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Family
We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God, but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions for men and women in the home and the church. We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society.
The Last Days
We believe in that blessed hope, the return of Christ, Who will rapture His church prior to the seven-year tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom which was promised to the nation of Israel.
Missions
We believe God has called all believers to carry out the Great Commission whether it be in their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, or to the uttermost parts of the earth. We also believe God has called all believers to labor for the Master while it is still day because the time will come when we will no longer be able to go into such a great and white harvest.
Open Door Of Hope Ministry is a non profit organization that has dedicated itself to fulfilling the Great Commission. Our mission is based in Carrfoure, Haiti, though we work through out Haiti as the Lord leads. We do this by taking care of the needs of others both spiritually and physically through Bible studies, one on one evangelism and humanitarian efforts. All donations go directly to operating the ministry work in Haiti. No monies are paid directly or indirectly for any salaries of our board members or American staff.
